Registered Dental Hygienist
Job Description
We’re a busy dental practice looking for full-time registered dental hygienist.
University General Dentists is seeking people who are multi-talented, team-oriented and reliable that can help our growing practices. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough oral examinations, including taking medical and dental histories.
- Clean teeth, remove tartar, plaque, and stains.
- Apply sealants and fluoride treatments as needed.
- Digital X-rays.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition.
- Provide patient counseling on oral health concerns and treatment options.
- Administer local anesthesia as needed.
- Perform periodontal charting and scaling and root planning procedures.
- Apply topical anesthetics and desensitizers.
- Take intraoral photographs for documentation and patient education.
- Apply Silver Diamine Fluoride
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Assist with sterilization and disinfection procedures.
- Manage and maintain dental hygiene equipment and supplies.
- Participate in team meetings and continuing education programs.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
- Current CPR and BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of dental hygiene procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in dental software and technology.
Office hours are Monday – Thursday 8 to 5 and Friday 8 to 2.

Registered Dental Assistant/ Certified Dental Assistant

- Current state licensure as registered dental assistant/ certified dental assistant.
- Current CPR and BLS certification.
- Nitrous monitoring is a plus
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of dental procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in dental software and technology.
Office hours are Monday – Thursday 8 to 5 and Friday 8 to 2.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years dental experience
